CB Twitter plugin

Posted: 09 Apr 2010 01:12 PM PDT

CB Twitter pluginThe CB Twitter Connect Plugin is a CB 1.2.2+ compatible CB plugin that will integrate with your CB powered website and via the CB Login module (with Integration enabled) will allow users to sign-in (register) and/or login using their Twitter credentials. Since it is fully compatible with CB 1.2.2, it is automatically Joomla 1.5 native (and also Joomla 1.0 and Mambo compatible). Users will still be able to register via the traditional CB registration form. However, users may also elect to just sign-in using their Twitter credentials. If a Twitter session is not present, the user is redirected to sign into Twitter first. Users that have registered via the traditional CB registration form may elect to link their CB account with their Twitter account, thus being able to one click login in the future. The plugin is available as a thank you download (along with 13 other CB Team released add-ons) for all CB Documentation subscribers (http://www.joomlapolis.com/content/view/2542/37/).

WeblinksWT

Posted: 09 Apr 2010 12:45 PM PDT

WeblinksWTThe bretteleben.de "Weblinks with Thumbshots" component for Joomla! 1.5 modifys the default Joomla! component "Weblinks" and replaces the default icons with thumbshots (preview images) of the linked website. The link to your thumbshot provider is set in the backend of the default "Weblinks" component. Why a core hack instead of a separate component? The modification concerns only 3 files of the original component and this is - in my opinion - no reason to reinvent the complete component. In addition - this way allows to go on using the already existent links and takes just a few clicks to install/uninstall. Features: - replaces the icons of the weblinks with thumbshots - free to choose thumbshot provider
